victoria vox

this weekend i got to see my cousin, Victoria Vox, play in baltimore. she plays the ukelele which is awesome, and she has this little drum set and little piano which her producer played with her. i loved the little drum set, it was very cute. she was really great, she has a lovely voice. victoria has a new album coming out, the first image, and if you are interested in checking it out, you can go to her myspace.

VDQ

these are some pages out of a process book for the project Virtual Design Quilt, or VDQ, i did last year. i finally got it reprinted on lulu, which took forever because either my internet or lulu was being impossible.

VDQ was an interactive project where i asked artists and designers to email me a small square of any artwork, which was then put together on a website creating a "quilt" of the artwork mixed together.

jumping?

so i googled my name and it came up on the blog jumping in front of artwork, which is this blog where people send in photos of them jumping in front of art. the photo above is from the blog, and the piece that looks like she is about to grab off the wall is mine. it is a from the Fab Lab show in the Pinkard Gallery at MICA, which was exploring the fabulous world of the new digital textile printer at our school. i guess some MICA students jumped in front of it and then sent it in. our names are all listed on the blog, hence how google found it.

the project formally known as black eyed susan

above are various logo ideas for a local market with the name 'black eyed susan.' (black eyed susan is the maryland state flower). the market would have local goods and produce. it would be about sustainability and being organic. then there are some possible shirts idea.

this is a group project, so all of this was before we had to change some things, like the name, which now is beehive market. so i will post some things i do for that later on.

abode

these are the abode ipod cases that i made and am selling. i designed all the patterns myself and printed them. here is a description of abode:
"iPods have become very personal. People bring their iPods everywhere they go. The iPods has become a home away form home. With this idea, Abode iPod cases have the qualities of home, so that the iPods as well as their cases can bring a comfort of home anywhere the owner goes. The fabrics and patterns are similar and inspired by the interiors of houses."

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

these are the illustrations i did for abode. i took the patterns i made for the cases and put them into simple interiors or houses, which was the inspiration for them.
