bday patterns

i am working on some notecards and these are some of the designs i have so far. the last one of the ferns i am not using, it's not birthday enough, but i still like the ferns being all colorful.

pattern friday

i just made this little birdy pattern for a project i am doing at the moment.

something found

i went through my external hard drive today and found this i did a year ago. it is a tray design for this project that didn't amount to anything. i stole some of the elements to make the new header for my other blog, so at least it wasn't a waste.

headers

these are some headers i did for my other blog, xodani. i did the bottom one first, but it wasn't exactly what i wanted. so i changed it to the top one.

poppy fields

i recently went to antelope valley poppy reserve where there are fields and fields of poppies. i LOVE poppies and had a ton of fun photographing them all. we came slightly late in the season to see them, so there weren't as many as there could have been, but there were still a lot of them and they still made me happy.

textures

i take a lot of photos when i go places and have realized that a lot of them are close up shots of different textures. i compiled some of them together to compare the textures and to see them as a whole which are below. these were also just the photos i have on my computer, which means they are from this last year, and there are a lot more on my external hard drive to upload later whenever i feel like fishing that out and searching through it.

pattern friday

this friday's pattern is another exploration of the fern pattern. i wanted to do a simpler, two color version of the ferns. i love ferns, i think they are complicated and simple at the same time, and rather forgotten as a plant.

pattern friday

this week was the beginning of pattern friday, where each friday i am going to post a pattern i have done the past week. since after graduating i haven't been doing a good job about making work and being creative. so, pattern friday is my attempt to force myself to create more, be inspired, and get more work done.

the pattern above is a daffodil pattern. i love daffodils, they are such a happy flower. it is their time right now since it is spring, even though in southern california we don't get many of them, which is a shame.

hello kitty card case

these are some designs i did for work. it was for a hello kitty card case. the designs on top would be screened on whereas the patterns on the bottom ones would be engraved. it wasn't what they were looking for and they aren't going to be made, but i had fun doing them and thought they were fun.
