on the way

while working for atmosphere, i was given the fun opportunity to come up with a new look for the firm. above is the atmosphere creative logo. the asterisk icon, is actually the weather symbol for snow. so based upon that, i did some research on the weather and made some more weather symbols to go with the one above in the logo. back when i made them, i knew what they all were associated with. now i just remember a few. anyways, once i came up with these, now what do i do with them? below are a bunch of trials and errors on the way to find the right look.











and tada! above is the final look. the symbols are all floating around with an opacity like what weather does. you may think you have the weather figured out, and then it throws something at you that you didn't expect. it can rain and snow at the same time, or be sunny and raining, or be hot and then storm clouds come rolling in. then the image two above is the secondary pattern, which just uses one color. we made mugs with that pattern on it for xmas.

julia's bday

here is a card i made for my friend julia, who lives in and loves dc. it is based on the dc subway map, which is, in my opinion, the easiest public transportation to navigate in the world.

below are something i made a long time ago working for atmosphere creative. it was for a brochure about what we do, but then i got a chance to redesign their whole look (which i will post later) and so these are now just some pretty patterns.
